Free offers | Consultation with a midwife
General information
The Hebammenzentrum is a sponsored family counselling centre and so we can offer free appointments with a midwife. Everyone, planning on having children, in expectation of a baby or parents in the first year can get easy and unbureaucratic counselling. In these 50-min. appointments we can discuss your relevant questions and worries, as well as connect you with further possibilities for care and support if needed.
We offer appointments for following topics:
- Help with the decision regarding prenatal testing or with potential outcomes
- Everything regarding pregnancy, birth, time after birth, nutrition, breast feeding, baby sleep, care of a newborn, start of solid food for the baby, weaning, etc.
- Support with ambivalent feelings towards a future or existing pregnancy
- General overview about different options for the place of birth: home birth, birth centre, birth in the hospital, private midwife in the hospital, “ambulant birth”, midwife care after birth
- Information about the role of fathers-to-be and partners during pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period

- on site at the Hebammenzentrum, Lazarettgasse 8, 1090 Vienna
- on site at PVE Sonnwendviertel in CAPE 10, Alfred Adler Straße 1, 1100 Vienna (Wednesday afternoon)
- on site at FEM Med, Reumannplatz 7, 1100 Vienna (Tuesday noon)
- as telephone consultations and online consultations (Zoom)
